Methods of Data Delivery

Optimove offers flexible data delivery methods to suit diverse client needs:

1. Cloud Storage Solutions

  • AWS S3: Requires Access Key ID, Secret Access Key, and Bucket Name. Data files (CSV, JSON, PARQUET) are delivered as full or incremental updates.
  • Google Cloud Storage: Data is uploaded to a designated bucket, with access permissions managed by Optimove.
  • Azure Blob Storage: Uses a SAS Token and stage URL for data transfer.

For clients using Snowflake, Optimove supports Snowflake Data Sharing:

  • Enables secure sharing of structured tables directly with Optimove.
  • Data must be updated daily according to the agreed-upon schedule.
  • Clients should coordinate with Optimove to confirm setup and account permissions.

 

Types of Data Delivered

The data delivered to Optimove ensures a complete and actionable view of client activity. Typical data includes:

Customer Profiles

Demographic information, account details, and other static data.

Transaction History

Records of purchases, deposits, withdrawals, and other key actions.

Product or Service Catalog

Details about products or services available to customers.

Customer Events

Real-time actions, such as new registrations, updates to account information, or purchases.
Supported File Formats include CSV, JSON, and PARQUET.

 

Prerequisites for Data Delivery

Before starting the data integration process, clients must ensure the following prerequisites are met to guarantee smooth and uninterrupted data flow:

Data Readiness
Set a daily data readiness time (in UTC) for when data is available for processing. This time determines when Optimove will pull the latest updates. ​
Data Structure Alignment
Ensure that the data aligns with Optimove’s required structures for seamless ingestion. Custom structures may require additional configuration with Optimove’s support.
Events Structure
The event structure should align with the structure here
File Size Management
Use GZ compression for data files and keep files under 100 MB for optimal transfer speeds. Larger datasets should be split into smaller files. ​
Incremental Data Updates
Include accurate LastUpdated fields to enable Optimove to extract only new or modified data from databases and APIs. ​

    Structure and format your data to align with Optimove’s specifications. Our detailed data requirements ensure smooth processing.

  3. Connect with Optimove
    Provide the necessary details—such as database access credentials or SFTP information—directly to your Optimove representative.

  4. Test Data Transfers
    Before going live, conduct a test load to ensure Optimove can access and process your data smoothly. This critical step validates that all configurations are accurate and ready for seamless integration.

  5. Start Daily Data Updates

    After successful testing, initiate your regular daily data transfers. Ensure data is sent at the agreed-upon time to maintain consistency and readiness for Optimove’s processes.
