The Product Recommendations with Optimove Personalize (formerly Opti-X) use case is designed to be the fastest way to add personalized product suggestions to any campaign. If you already use Optimove Personalize for on-site recommendations, you can instantly create a corresponding Data Connection with a single click. This allows you to pull product names, images, and URLs from your existing Optimove Personalize placements directly into emails, mobile push notifications, and more, ensuring a consistent, cross-channel personalization strategy.

You already use Optimove Personalize placements for product recommendations, but you can’t easily reuse that content across other channels like mobile push, SMS, or as plain text within an email body or subject line. This limits your ability to create a truly seamless, cross-channel experience.

You have an Optimove Personalize placement already configured and want to use the recommendations from this placement in your mobile campaigns or as dynamic text within an email for seamless messaging.

Solution

Data Connections can be generated directly from an existing Optimove Personalize placement in a single click. This automatically creates a data source that you can reference in any template, allowing you to extend Optimove Personalize personalization across all marketing channels.

Implementation

Step 1: Create a Data Connection from a Placement

From the Optimove Personalize Placements screen, you can create a Data Connection in one click from the context menu. The Data Connection's name will be generated automatically based on the Placement’s title.

Step 2: Use it in Templates

In the template editor, search for the Data Connection using your placement's name, then select the specific product property you want to display. The available properties (e.g., product name, image, price) come directly from the Optimove Personalize API.
