AI Decisioning Studio gives you a single hub to manage, align, and scale your AI agents across campaigns, all toward a shared strategy.
This guide will walk you through how to use AI Decisioning Studio, from creating your first Strategy to monitoring impact across your entire optimization program.
Step-by-Step: How to Use AI Decisioning Studio
Step 1: Create a Strategy
A Strategy is the foundation of AI Decisioning Studio. It groups related campaigns under a shared KPI, giving you a unified way to measure and align your optimization program. Each AI agent optimizes for its own specific outcomes — but together, they all contribute toward the same strategic goal that can be measured.
- Navigate to AI Decisioning Studio from the Optimove platform navigation.
- Click "+ Create New Strategy" in the top-right corner. If no strategies have been created yet, you can also use the button at the bottom-center of the screen.
- Enter a name for your Strategy (for example, "High Tier Churn Prevention" or "FTD Push Strategy") and add a description if needed.
- Select the KPI this Strategy will optimize toward and click Save.
Step 2: Add Campaigns to Your Strategy
Once your Strategy is created, add the campaigns you want to manage and optimize together. You can start from either AI Decisioning Studio or Mission Control:
- From AI Decisioning Studio: Open the Strategy and click Add Campaigns. This takes you to Mission Control, where you can select campaigns in bulk and add them to the Strategy.
- From Mission Control: Go directly to Mission Control, select the relevant campaigns in bulk, and choose Add to Strategy from the bulk actions menu.
Step 3: Review AI Coverage
Once campaigns are added to your Strategy, AI Decisioning Studio gives you an instant view of which AI agents are active across those campaigns and where gaps exist.
- From the Strategy view, review the AI coverage dashboard to see which agents are active per campaign.
- Check the Strategy Overview at the top of the page to see aggregate coverage across all four agents, including active campaign counts and KPI impact per agent.
Step 4: Expand Optimizations
As your campaigns run, AI Decisioning Studio surfaces suggestions for where additional agents could add value.
- In the campaign list, check the Suggestions column to see AI recommendations per campaign.
- Click Setup in the Action column. This opens the Campaign Optimization panel, showing all four AI agents and their current status for that campaign.
- Review the agents and click Setup on the one you want to activate (for example, Send Time Optimization).
- On the agent page, click Apply, and the agent will be instantly live on that campaign.
Step 5: Add More Strategies and Monitor Impact
As you grow your optimization program, keep adding Strategies for different campaigns and goals. AI Decisioning Studio gives you a central view to monitor all of them over time.
- Use the time filter — Last week, This week, Last month, or This month — to track trends over time.
- Click into a Strategy to review campaign-level contribution and identify which campaigns are driving the most impact.
- Use the AI Agents Overview at the top of the page to see how each agent is contributing across your program, and identify Strategies where expanding coverage could drive more impact.
Key Elements to Keep in Mind
- Strategies are not Streams. Campaigns inside a Strategy do not affect each other's execution — the Strategy is an organizational and measurement layer only.
- The date range filter is currently limited to the current and previous week or month. Custom date ranges will be supported in a future update.
- For the AI Journey Decisioning Agent (formerly Self-Optimizing Journeys), KPI impact is shown for your account's default KPI.
- Send Time Optimization is supported on specific channels only. Once applied to a template, it cannot be applied to additional templates within the same campaign.
- The AI Content Decisioning Agent is in Closed Beta and might not yet be available in your AI Decisioning Studio.
- Optimization suggestions appear over time as AI agents accumulate performance data. A newly created Strategy may not show suggestions immediately.
