The integrated solution of Airship and Optimove makes it easy to plan and execute scheduled push notifications, based on the advanced customer segmentation & orchestration capabilities available in Optimove.
Setting Up the Integration for Target Group Sharing Only
This integration with Airship allows you to upload target groups from Optimove and leverage them as audiences for push notification campaigns. Following campaign execution, the campaign’s metrics and uplift (if using a control group) will be displayed on your Campaign Analysis page in Optimove.
In order to use this Optimove-Airship integration, to share target groups for activation within Airship (not to trigger real-time in-app campaigns), please provide Optimove with the following details for your staging and production SFTPs in Airship:
- API bearer authorization token
- SFTP credentials
- Public key
- URL
- Port
If you do not have these details, please ask your Airship point of contact to provide them.
Once the Optimove team receives your details, we will set up the integration for you.
Setting Up a Campaign
Once your integration has been set up you will be able to leverage target groups from within Optimove to execute campaigns in Airship. To do so, follow the below steps:
1. Go to the Campaign Builder in Optimove and set up your Target Group and Scheduling as for any other execution channel.
2. In the Execution Details select Airship as your Channel.
Please note:
- There is no option to select a template. You will select a template in Airship.
- There is no relevance to the “Time” field. Your target group will be uploaded to Airship as part of your Batch Data Process. You will set up your campaign in Airship.
- Control Groups are supported. Optimove will withhold the percentage of customers when sharing the target group with Airship, ensuring you can measure uplift for this campaign.
- A/B/n multichannel campaigns are supported. Optimove will only share the relevant percentage of the target group with Airship. However, if you would like to perform an A/B/n test of two or more messages sent via Airship this should be set up in Airship. In this case, Optimove will send the complete target group to Airship, and the split should be set up there.
3. Click “Create Campaign”
Please note:
By default, your target group will be shared with Airship as part of your next Batch Data Process. However, if you wish to share the target group immediately, you can do so by using the Run Now capability.
After the target group has been shared, you will be able to view it as an audience with the same name you used in Optimove.
4. Set up your campaign in Airship by choosing the relevant Optimove target group.
