Get Started From Documentation Alone — and Monitor Team Performance
Connect the MCP using only the Academy docs, then put a live performance read in the hands of CRM leaders and executives.
The Optimove MCP is designed to be self-serve. A team can connect it using the Academy documentation alone — no hands-on setup support required — and be reading live instance data the same day. That low barrier means adoption does not have to stop at the CRM analyst.
Once connected, the connector becomes a fast way for CRM leads and executives to monitor performance without opening the platform: a plain-language question returns campaigns launched, send volumes, and uplift for the last week, broken down by team member or brand. Adoption tends to climb the org chart because anyone who can ask a question can get an answer.
What you need to run this on the Claude branch.
| Ingredient | What to use |
|---|---|
| AI assistant | Claude (Desktop or Cowork) |
| Connector | Optimove MCP |
| Setup input | Optimove Academy documentation |
| Optimove data | Campaigns, sends, uplift, by team member or brand |
Copy this into your assistant with the Optimove connector on. Replace anything in [brackets].
I'm setting up the Optimove MCP for the first time using only the Academy documentation. Walk me through connecting, then confirm you can read my instance. Once connected: I'm a CRM lead who wants a weekly read on team performance. Summarize campaigns launched, total sends, and uplift by team member or brand for the last 7 days, and call out anyone or any brand trending up or down.
A short 'connect from the docs, then ask for a team-performance read' clickthrough.
The flow, step by step:
Follow the Academy setup. Open the Optimove MCP setup article in the Academy and connect the connector in Claude. No support ticket needed.
Confirm the connection. Ask Claude to confirm which instance it is reading and to list a couple of recent campaigns as a sanity check.
Ask for the performance read. Paste the prompt. Claude returns campaigns launched, sends, and uplift for the last 7 days, split by team member or brand.
Drill in. Follow up conversationally — “why is Brand B's uplift down this week?” — and Claude pulls the supporting detail.
Share the pattern. Give the same prompt to other leaders. Because it is self-serve, adoption spreads without extra onboarding.
A sportsbook and casino operator connected the MCP with no hands-on support — documentation only — and adoption climbed all the way to the Chief Revenue Officer, who uses it to monitor team performance. The organization had already rolled out Claude across the business a few months earlier, so the connector landed on fertile ground. One leader noted the release even reshaped a planned CRM hire.

Do I really not need setup support?
Teams have connected using only the Academy documentation. Support is available if you want it, but it is not required to get started.
Is executive-level data safe to expose this way?
Claude reads the same data the user is already permissioned to see in Optimove. It does not widen access.
What makes adoption spread?
The interface is a plain-language question. Anyone comfortable asking Claude a question can get a performance read, which is why usage tends to climb beyond the analyst.
