Ask Optimove Anything, in Any Language—Inside Optimove
OptiGenie is a conversational agent built into the Optimove platform. Ask it about your campaigns, promotions, Streams, and platform health, and have it build the pieces of your next campaign for you—in your own words, in the language you work in, without ever leaving Optimove.
OptiGenie is Optimove's in-platform AI agent. You open it from the icon in the main navigation, type or speak a question, and get an answer drawn from your live tenant data. It reads and inspects what's already there, and it builds new campaign components on request.
Ask in your own words, in the language you work in. OptiGenie isn't limited to English—put the question the way you'd put it to a colleague, and it answers in kind.
OptiGenie is part of the Native AI pillar of Optimove AI — the AI that lives inside the platform, alongside the Optimove MCP, which brings the same capabilities to the AI tools you use elsewhere.
Because OptiGenie is native, you never leave Optimove. There's no external AI account to set up and no third-party AI license to buy — your Optimove login is enough, and your existing user role and PII masking rules apply exactly as they do everywhere else in the platform.
The agent mostly reads and inspects your tenant. It can create drafts for you to review, but it can never activate, schedule, send, or delete anything in production. You stay in control.
What's New
Ask about campaigns, promotions, triggers, Streams, Target Groups, Mission Control, templates, and the documentation — then have OptiGenie build your next campaign's pieces for you. Everything the Optimove MCP can do, now native to the platform.
Marketing has moved from filling in screens to working alongside agents. OptiGenie is rebuilt for that: you describe the outcome, it does the assembly, and you stay the one who decides what ships.
Past conversations are saved. Come back to a thread from yesterday, pick up where you left off, or reuse a prompt that worked.
Results come back as usable interfaces, not just text. Templates, for example, surface as a side panel you can open and act on directly from the chat.
Speak your request instead of typing it, in the language you work in. Useful for longer briefs and for working hands-free.
Usage runs on a monthly credit budget you can track as you go. See section 06 for how credits work.
The same capabilities are available through the Optimove MCP connector, which connects external AI clients such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Microsoft Copilot to your tenant. Both channels do the same things—use whichever fits how you work. Anything you can do with the MCP in Claude, you can do inside OptiGenie instead. Working in-platform means you never leave Optimove and need no external AI license.
Start by asking the agent to show you things. Each of these is a first-class surface you can query directly—no reports to build, no exports to wait for, just ask. (Want it to build something too? That's the next section.)
Inspect any campaign—past, scheduled, or running. See status, schedule, Target Group, attached promotions, channels, and success/failure breakdowns.
Look up any discount, voucher, free-gift, or custom promotion and view its rules, value, validity window, attached campaigns, and redemption performance.
Inspect real-time and event triggers and see which campaigns they fire—useful for checking how a trigger is configured and what it's wired to.
Walk through a multi-step Stream: each stage, the condition between stages, and the campaign at each node. Not available yet—for now, review Streams in Optimove as usual.
See the Target Groups and segments on your tenant, including their size and how they're defined.
Check where today's campaign execution stands—what has run, what's still to go, and anything that didn't complete as expected.
Search Optimove product documentation in-line, so the agent can answer "how do I…" questions with citations from the official docs.
Ask about email templates on your tenant. The agent can also look up images from your BeeFree image library by name or description and pull the right asset into a template. Email only.
Describe what you want in your own words, and the agent builds it for you inside Optimove
No builder screens, no manual setup. You describe what you need, the agent assembles it using the official Optimove APIs, and it appears in your Optimove account ready to use. Because you're already in the platform, you can watch it work and see each object land where you expect it. The building blocks below are created and ready to drop into a campaign; the campaign itself is always created as a draft for you to review and activate.
See It Build a Target Group
A short walkthrough: describing the audience you want in the chat, and watching the Target Group land in Optimove ready to select.
Building Blocks It Creates for You
These are the ingredients of a campaign. The agent creates them in your tenant so you can select them in the campaign builder—on their own they don't message anyone or go into effect until you attach them to a campaign and activate it.
"Create a Target Group of customers who deposited in the last 14 days but haven't opened an email." Saved to your tenant, ready to select.
"Create a trigger for a customer's first deposit." Becomes available to pick in the campaign builder's trigger dropdown.
"Create a calculated attribute for average deposit over the last 30 days." Ready to use in segmentation and personalization.
"Create an action for a 10% bonus credit." Saved as a reusable action you can attach to a campaign.
"Create a free-spins promotion valid for 7 days." Created and ready to attach to a campaign.
"Create an email template for a weekend free-spins offer." The agent writes the template in HTML and saves it to your tenant, ready to open in the HTML editor. New templates default to Liquid personalization.
Create an Email Template—Saved to Your Platform
Describe the email you want in your own words and the agent builds it as an HTML template and saves it straight to your Optimove tenant. You can create a new template from scratch (new templates default to Liquid personalization), duplicate an existing template and transform it for a new campaign (the origin template determines whether it uses Legacy or Liquid personalization), or refine copy, subject line, and CTA over a multi-turn chat. The template surfaces as a panel alongside the chat, and you can jump straight into the Optimove HTML editor to keep editing.
The agent looks up images from your existing BeeFree asset library and inserts them—it can't generate brand-new AI images yet. Output is HTML only (the BeeFree Visual Editor isn't supported through the agent yet) and email only (SMS and push aren't supported through this path yet). Full AI image generation, the BeeFree Visual Editor, and richer previews are available inside Optimove Content Studio.
The Campaign—Always a Draft You Approve
"Create an email campaign using the BONUS10 promotion for my high-value Target Group." You get a fully assembled draft campaign—channel, content, Target Group, and promotion wired together—sitting in Optimove exactly like one you'd build by hand. Nothing sends until you review it and hit activate.
Drafting multi-step Streams ("a 3-step welcome journey for new sign-ups") is on the way. It isn't live yet—for now, build Streams in Optimove as usual.
The building blocks above are created in your tenant, but none of them messages anyone or goes live on its own—they only do something once they're part of a campaign. And the campaign itself is always a draft you review and activate. The agent never sends, schedules, or deletes anything on your behalf. You stay in control of what actually goes out.
See how teams put the agent to work. Each guide includes the recipe, a ready-to-use prompt, and a walkthrough. All examples are anonymized.
The guides in the library were written and recorded using the Optimove MCP connector, so the screenshots show an external AI client. The underlying capabilities are the same, so every one of these use cases can be carried out with OptiGenie inside Optimove—paste the same prompt into the chat and the agent does the same work. Setup and connection steps in those guides apply to MCP only; you don't need them here.

Executive CRM dashboards, full win-back programs, weekly promo calendars, always-on QA agents, end-to-end retention frameworks, and more.
There's nothing to install, connect, or authenticate. OptiGenie is part of the Optimove platform and runs on the Optimove account you already sign in with. You'll need OptiGenie enabled on your tenant (closed beta—speak to your CSM) and a monthly credit allocation in place.
Sign in to Optimove as you normally would.
Select the OptiGenie icon in the main navigation. The chat opens in the platform.
Type your question, or select the microphone to send a voice message instead.
Review what comes back. Where the agent returns an object—a template, a campaign draft, a Target Group—open it from the panel or deeplink in the chat and carry on in the platform.
Reopen an earlier thread from conversation history at any time to continue it or reuse a prompt.
Switching the underlying model
OptiGenie runs on Claude by default. If you'd rather use Gemini, switch models from the chat settings. Answers and formatting will differ slightly between models; the capabilities available to the agent are the same either way.
Permissions and what the agent can see
The agent inherits your Optimove user role and your tenant's PII masking rules. If you can't see an entity in the Optimove UI, the agent can't see it for you either. You work entirely inside Optimove — there's no external AI account involved and nothing for you to connect or authorize.
OptiGenie runs on credits. Your tenant has a monthly credit budget, and each request the agent handles draws from it. You can see your remaining balance and usage as you go.
Bigger jobs cost more than small ones. A quick status lookup uses very little; a multi-step request that builds a template, sizes a Target Group, and drafts a campaign uses more. Credits are consumed per request, not per session, so an open chat window costs nothing on its own.
Your monthly allocation and current consumption are visible in the platform, so you can pace usage across the month and see which kinds of work draw the most.
Need more than your monthly allocation? Contact your Customer Success Manager or account executive and they'll extend your credits.
The agent pauses until your budget resets at the start of the next month or your CSM extends it. Nothing else in Optimove is affected—campaigns, Streams, and sends carry on as normal.
Be specific in your first message. A clear brief ("draft an email campaign for the BONUS10 promotion targeting my high-value Target Group") usually costs less than arriving at the same result over several rounds of back-and-forth. Reopening a saved conversation is also cheaper than re-establishing context from scratch.
Pick a starting point for your role.

I can't see the agent in the main navigation
OptiGenie is in closed beta and is enabled per tenant. If the icon isn't there, your tenant isn't in the beta yet—contact your CSM.
The agent has stopped responding to requests
Check your credit balance. If your monthly budget is used up, the agent pauses until the budget resets or your CSM extends it. Contact your CSM or account executive to add credits.
Empty or partial responses
The agent inherits your Optimove user role. If you can't see an entity in the Optimove UI, you won't see it through the agent. Ask your Optimove admin to confirm your role assignment.
An earlier conversation is missing
Conversation history is per user, so you'll only see threads from your own account—not a colleague's. If a thread of your own is missing, refresh the platform and check again, then raise a ticket if it still doesn't appear.
Template images look broken in the chat preview
If an HTML preview shows image links as broken, they resolve normally once you open the template in the Optimove HTML editor. The agent inserts images from your existing BeeFree library rather than generating new ones.
Answers aren't as good as I expected
Try being more specific: name the campaign, promotion, Target Group, or date range you mean. If you've switched the underlying model, switch back to Claude and compare—output quality and formatting differ between models.
Optimove customers can reach support through the standard channels. To report a problem with the agent, open a ticket through the support portal. For credits and access, go to your CSM.
