Zapier is a powerful automation tool that acts as a bridge between thousands of different web apps. You can use it to connect Gamify (formerly Adact) to other tools you use every day—like Google Sheets, Slack, Mailchimp, or your CRM—without writing any code.
How Does the Integration Work?
The integration works on a "Trigger and Action" model. When something happens in our platform (the Trigger), Zapier can automatically perform an Action in another app. The available triggers are:
- New Unique Lead Created: Fires every time a new participant successfully submits your campaign's registration form.
- New Assigned Prize Created: Fires every time a prize is won and assigned to a participant.
Example: Sending New Leads to a Google Sheet
This guide will walk you through the most common use case: automatically adding every new lead from your campaign into a new row in a Google Sheet.
Before you begin, you will need:
- A Gamify by Optimove campaign with a registration form.
- A Zapier account.
- A Google Sheet with the first row set up as headers (e.g., "Full Name", "Email", "Score").
Part A: Setting Up the Trigger in Zapier
- Log in to Zapier and click "Create Zap".
- For the Trigger, search for and select the "Gamify (formerly Adact)" app.
- For the 'Event', choose "New Unique Lead Created" from the list and click "Continue".
- Zapier will now ask you to connect your account. Click "Sign in". A pop-up will ask for your API Key.
- To find your API Key, go to your Gamify (formerly Adact) account → Settings → CRM Integrations → Zapier → View Integration → Settings. Copy the key and paste it into the Zapier connection window.
- Once connected, select the specific campaign you want to get leads from in the 'Campaign' dropdown.
- Click "Test trigger". Zapier will attempt to pull in a recent lead from your campaign to use as sample data. Ensure this is successful before continuing.
Part B: Setting Up the Action in Zapier
- For the Action step, search for and select "Google Sheets".
- For the 'Event', choose "Create Spreadsheet Row" and click "Continue".
- Connect your Google account if prompted.
- Select the 'Drive', 'Spreadsheet', and 'Worksheet' you want to add the data to.
- Now, you will map the data. For each column header in your sheet (e.g., "Email"), click the field and select the corresponding data field from the Gamify by Optimove trigger (e.g., "Email"). Repeat this for all the columns you want to populate.
- After mapping your fields, click "Continue".
- Click "Test action". Zapier will send your sample data to the Google Sheet. Go to your spreadsheet to verify that the new row was added correctly.
Part C: Publishing Your Zap
- If the test was successful, you're ready to go live.
- Give your Zap a name and click "Publish" or turn it on.
Your Zap is now live! From this point on, every time a new lead is captured in your selected campaign, it will be automatically added as a new row in your Google Sheet in real-time.
