Please note:
To unlock these capabilities, you will need to have added OptiMobile channels to your Optimove package. If you can’t see this feature in your Optimove instance, contact your CSM to find out more.
Reachability attributes enable you to more accurately determine which of your customers are eligible to receive your marketing campaigns. There are three key benefits to taking advantage of reachability attributes in your mobile campaigns:
- Create more relevant and accurate target groups for your mobile-based campaigns, by filtering irrelevant customers who opted out of the mobile channels, or who no longer use your mobile app.
- Improved reporting and analysis, by ensuring that irrelevant customers are not included in your Sent metrics.
- Avoid locking irrelevant customers into campaigns where they can’t be reached, and instead ensure they can be reached by other, more relevant campaigns (depending on campaign inclusions/exclusions).
Please note:
These attributes are mandatory for Optimove clients who have OptiMobile channels enabled. These attributes are created by Optimove and are automatically added when a new OptiMobile channel has been configured. They cannot be edited or removed from the attributes list in Settings.
The attributes themselves are:
| Attribute Name | Logic | Value |
| Mobile Customer |
|
True/False |
| Reachable for Mobile Push |
|
True/False |
| Reachable for InApp |
|
True/False |
| Reachable for Web Push |
|
True/False |
Please note:
These attributes do not consider the customers’ activity on the app. If you’d like to only send campaigns to customers who have been active in the app in the last 90 days, for example, you can add this as criteria to your target group using the Web and App Activity parameters.
How to Utilize Reachability Attributes
To take advantage of reachability attributes, you should include these in any mobile campaign you are planning to send, whether this is an InApp Message or Mobile Push Notification.
- Create a new target group
- Navigate to Customer Attributes and search for the relevant attribute, “Reachable for InApp” or “Reachable for Mobile Push” depending on your campaign goals.
- Reachability attributes require a true or false value, with true returning those customers who are reachable.
- Now, you can add any other criteria for your target group, ready to utilize in your next great mobile campaign!
If you would like to learn more about Reachability Attributes and how they could help you and your team, please contact your Customer Success Manager.
Please note:
These attributes are only supported by OptiMobile channels, and brands are not yet supported. Please contact your CSM for more information.
Use Case for Mobile Apps
The reachability attributes above can not only improve the accuracy of your target groups and campaign metrics but also present the possibility of app acquisition campaigns too.
By creating a target group of non-app users, e.g. Mobile User = False, you can create a target group of customers who don’t yet have the app, and target them with an OptiMail campaign with the goal of getting them to download it. You can also utilize Deferred Deep Linking to take them to a specific area of the app if you’d like to offer a specific product or deal.
Please note:
To benefit from OptiMail or Deferred Deep Linking, you must have the relevant Optimove package. Please contact your CSM to learn more.
