Important:
Web and App Activity data updates hourly. To ensure you are using the most up-to-date data, you must use either the Re-evaluate or Run anyway option when executing your campaign.
- Re-evaluate: Use this option to remove customers who no longer match the group’s criteria.
- Run anyway: This option will calculate the target group 15 minutes before execution, both removing customers who no longer match and adding those who do.
You can read more about the update frequency for all selection criteria here.
Using the Web and App Activity criteria, you can create customer segments based on their specific website/app activity. For example, all customers who visited a particular section of your website during the past 14 days, or all users who visited specific screens in your mobile app.
The activity types and parameters that are tracked depend on the specific events that are reported back to Optimove via the Optimove SDK and are determined in advance together with the Optimove Integration Team.
Note: The Web and App Activity criteria are available for Track and Trigger customers.
The selection criteria in this category consist of the following elements:
| Selection Element | Examples |
|---|---|
| Type of history |
|
| Activity type |
|
| Condition |
|
| Time frame |

Practical Use Cases
- Targeting High-Intent Users: Create a segment of customers who have viewed a specific product category (e.g., "Men's Running Shoes") more than 3 times in the last 7 days but have not made a purchase.
- Re-engaging Inactive App Users: Find users who have not opened the app ('App Screen Viewed' is zero) in the past 30 days to target them with a "We miss you!" push notification.
- Abandoned Cart Recovery: Segment customers who visited the "Checkout" page today but did not complete a purchase.
