How do you add validation users?
1. Navigate to the “Datasets” sub-section in your Opti-X accounts, this is found under the “Data” section on the sidebar.
a. Note: if this section is disabled, please reach out to your Opti-X onboarding team or CSM for support.
2. Once on the “Datasets” screen click the “Add Datasets” button to enter the dataset builder.
3. To add validation users, select this template from the templates dropdown, give this dataset a descriptive name and description so you will be able to identify it later.
4. On the “Schema” tab you can view the columns that are included in this dataset type.
5. After you save your validation users dataset you will be able to open the dataset by clicking its name in the Datasets list
6. When it comes to adding validation users to this dataset you have two options
a. Editor: Using the Editor tab you can manually modify the list of users included in this data set.
i. The actions you can perform on this table are:
1. Add Row: You can add a row to the table either by clicking the “Add Row” button or by hovering on a row and clicking the “plus” above or below buttons. These will insert rows above or below the row you are currently hovering on.
2. Delete Row: If you would like to remove a user completely from this list, you can delete them by hovering on the row and clicking the trash can icon next to the row number.
3. Edit Data point: If you need to make a quick update to a single item on the row, you can do so by double clicking on the field in the row you want to update. This will activate a text input field for you to edit the data inline.
ii. Once you have finished making your manual changes, make sure to click save button to save your changes.
b. Upload: If you already have a dataset ready in a CSV format or prefer to bulk upload validation users you can use the “Upload” tab.
i. Download Empty Template File: To make sure you are uploading a file with the correct schema or to share the schema with additional teammates who might create the file for you, you can download an empty file which contains the structure for you to fill in.
ii. Download latest file: If you have previously uploaded files to this dataset, you can use this option to download the last uploaded file.
iii. Uploading your file: If you have a file already ready with the correct schema, you can either drag the file into the drop area or using the “browse files” option to find the file on your computer. After you have selected the file, click the “upload file” button to finish uploading the file to your dataset.
