The Registration Form is a crucial element for capturing lead data from your participants. You can use it to collect names, email addresses, consent for terms, and any other custom information you need. This guide explains how to add and configure the form.
How to Add and Configure the Form
- On any campaign screen (typically the 'Start Screen'), click the "+ Add" button between elements and select the 'Registration Form' element.
- Once added, select the form element in the editor to open its settings in the left-hand panel.
- The settings are organized into two main tabs: Form Fields (to add, remove, and configure fields) and Form Style (to change the visual style).
Understanding Field Types
The form is built using different fields. You can choose from a list of default, pre-configured fields or create your own custom ones.
- Default Fields: These are common, pre-built fields like 'Email' and 'Full Name'. You can enable or disable them with a toggle switch. Data from these fields is stored in dedicated columns in your analytics exports.
- Custom Fields: You can also add your own custom fields to ask for any other information you require, using text inputs, checkboxes, dropdowns, and more.
Making a Field Required
For any field you add, you can make it mandatory for the user to fill out by enabling the 'Required' toggle that appears next to the field name in the editor.
Glossary of Default Fields
Here is a breakdown of the standard, pre-built fields available for your form:
- Email: A field specifically for collecting a user's email address. It includes basic format validation (e.g., must contain an '@' symbol) on the live campaign.
- Full Name: A text field for collecting the user's full name.
- Phone Number: A field for collecting a phone number, which includes an option to set a default country code.
- Country Name: Provides a dropdown list of all countries for the user to select from.
- Leaderboard Name: The name entered in this field will be what appears on the public leaderboard for that user.
- Terms & Conditions: A checkbox that users must tick to agree to your terms. It includes a link that can open the T&Cs pop-up.
- Privacy Policy: A separate checkbox for privacy policy consent. This is stored independently from the T&Cs consent in your analytics.
- Code: An input field where a user can enter a unique code to gain access to the campaign.
