Throughout its lifecycle, your Gamify (formerly Adact) campaign will be in one of several statuses. Each status determines whether the campaign is active, collecting data, or editable. This guide defines each one.
Campaign Status Definitions
Draft
This is the default status for any new campaign you create. While in Draft, you can freely build and edit all aspects of your campaign. However, the campaign is not publicly accessible, and it does not collect any participant data.
Scheduled
If you set a future start date on the 'Publish settings' page, your campaign will enter 'Scheduled' status. This means it is fully configured and waiting to go live automatically on the specified date.
Live
A 'Live' campaign is active and publicly accessible. It is actively collecting participant data, recording scores, and awarding prizes. This is the primary status for a running campaign.
Paused
A campaign is 'Paused' when it was previously live but is now temporarily inactive. A campaign might be paused for several reasons:
- You manually paused it.
- The scheduled end date has been reached.
- Your account's unique visitor limit has been significantly exceeded.
- All available prizes have been won (if configured to end when prizes run out).
Ended
This is the final status for a campaign that has finished and is not intended to be reactivated. Data is preserved for analytics, but the campaign is no longer accessible to participants.
How to Manually Change a Campaign's Status
You can manually pause a live campaign or reactivate a paused one from the campaign's settings.
- To Pause a Live Campaign:
Navigate to Publishing → Publishing settings and click the Pause Campaign button. This will immediately make the campaign inactive. - To Reactivate a Paused Campaign:
From the same settings page, click the Continue Campaign button to set the campaign back to 'Live'.
