When you share a link on social media platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, or X (formerly Twitter), the platform automatically generates a preview card with a title, description, and image. This guide explains how to customize these elements to control how your campaign appears when it's shared, ensuring it's engaging and on-brand.
How to Access and Configure Your Sharing Details
You can find these settings within your campaign editor.
- Navigate to the Publishing → Marketing tab from the left-hand navigation bar.
- You will see fields to set the preview information for your campaign link.
- Title: This is the bold headline of the preview card. Make it catchy to grab attention.
- Description: This is the snippet of text below the title. Use it to explain what the campaign is about and what users can win.
- Image: This is the main visual for the preview card. Upload an eye-catching image (e.g., 1200x630px) that represents your campaign.
Previewing Your Link
After filling in the details, the Link Preview will show you a simulation of how your campaign link will look when shared on a social media platform, allowing you to make adjustments before you share it publicly.
Example
If you configure the settings with a custom title, description, and image, the resulting share card will look professional and enticing when posted on social media:
If you update these settings after you have already shared your link, social media sites might still show the old preview because they 'cache' (save) the information. To fix this, you may need to use the platform's official tool (like the Facebook Sharing Debugger) to force it to fetch the new preview image and text.
