Streams? Hasn’t that been around since 2019?
Yes, good memory! Streams was actually introduced in our first-ever Product Magazine. And the Visual Stream Builder was introduced in January’s edition.
For those that do not recall, Streams allows you to easily determine whether a specific series of campaigns are effective. And the Visual Stream Builder makes creating these streams as easy as buying a TV with a discount on Cyber Monday.
It has a marketer-friendly canvas, built-in experimentation that is regulated by global prioritization and exclusion rules, and deep analysis into the actual impact of the whole series and each campaign within it against your KPIs.

Hybrid Streams allows you to do exactly that.
Combine the modeling and segmentation power of pre-scheduled campaigns with the real-time reaction to customer behaviors of triggered campaigns in a single stream.
From now on, when building Streams, you can combine triggered and scheduled campaigns.
Just a small reminder. We recommend creating multiple short Streams, each handling a narrow scenario, instead of long, convoluted ones. Optimove’s orchestration engine will take care of setting the customers on their best path without you having to worry about planning all the splits and exclusion rules in advance.
Ideas for getting started
We started this magazine’s issue speaking about the holidays, so here are some ideas to make your BFCM strategies stand out with Hybrid Streams.
- Trigger to start a Stream– Start your Streams by reacting to a customer’s behavior. For example, start communicating with customers after an abandoned cart/browse/deposit and follow up the first communication with either additional triggered campaigns or pre-scheduled ones. Add an exit criterion for days since the last purchase/deposit smaller than 1, to automatically remove anyone who completes a transaction after entering your Stream.
- Split a Stream with an event/trigger– Split your treatments based on customer behaviors. For example, after sending your customers a communication to drive them to your website, split customers by whether they visited your site or not. For those who visited, trigger a website pop-up in real-time to provide a coherent experience across channels.
- Determine what campaigns work best– Test different combinations of campaign types to know which one results in the highest impact on your goals. For example, test treatment of only pre-scheduled campaigns vs one of the only real-time ones. Or a series of triggered campaigns versus a hybrid one.
