ISP Metrics
On top of the metrics above, a key factor of deliverability performance tracking is looking at the differences in performance between Internet Service Providers (ISPs).
In the Campaigns Deliverability Report, you can track three key metrics, broken down by the top ISPs among your audience.
ISP Average Delivery Rate
This chart tracks the average delivery rate for each ISP where a customer is opening your email. In this chart, you should look for deviations, for example, if there is a particular ISP with a low average delivery rate, you should look at why this might be. For example, if your sending domain has been blacklisted, or you have incorrectly set up email authentication protocols.
ISP Daily Delivery Rate
This chart looks at the delivery rate on a day-by-day basis, allowing you to look for spikes or sudden changes in deliverability performance. For example, if you see a down-trend or sudden drop in the total number of unique opens by day – that’s an indication that you may be blocked or blacklisted and it’s important to take a deeper look into your IP’s feedback loops. Should you see a sudden spike in spam records, another reason may be that the message, content or offer in your email wasn’t relevant to the target group it was sent to.
Delivered and Unique Opened Distribution per ISP
This graph shows the distribution of emails delivered and opened per ISP, divided by total number of emails. You are able to look at the individual delivery and open rates per ISP, meaning you can look for specific ISPs that diverge from the overall trends. If one ISP has a similar delivery rate, but a much lower open rate, you may want to look at how your email may appear in that ISPs inbox, checking your subject and preview text.
