Prizes are a core component of most campaigns, used to motivate participation and reward winners. This guide will walk you through the three main parts of configuring a prize: setting up its basic information, defining the rules for winning, and assigning prize codes.

Part 1: Prize Information
This section covers the basic details of your prize. Navigate to the Prizes tab in your campaign and click + Add new.
- Prize Title: The internal name for your prize (e.g., "Grand Prize - TV"). This is what you'll see in your analytics.
-
Prize Description & Image: Optional details that are only shown to users if you use the
#prizeDescription#
or#prizeImage#
shortcodes in an email or on a results screen. - Amount: The total quantity of this prize available for the entire campaign. The campaign will automatically pause if all prizes are won, so set this number carefully.
Tip: You can update the prize 'Amount' at any time, even while the campaign is live.
Part 2: Prize Rules and Winning Conditions
Here, you'll specify how participants can win this prize.
Prize Type (Instant Win vs. Raffle)
- Instant Win: The prize is awarded immediately after a user finishes the game, based on conditions you set (like achieving a minimum score).
- Raffle: The prize is not awarded immediately. Instead, all participants become eligible to be chosen as a winner later via a manual raffle draw.
For more detail on the specific settings for each type, see our guides on Configuring "Instant Win" Prizes and How to Run a Raffle.
Win Limits
- Daily Limit: Set a maximum number of times this prize can be won per day. This is great for creating daily excitement and pacing your prize distribution.
- Limit Per Participant: By default, a user can only win each prize once. You can override this by allowing a prize to be won unlimited times or a specific number of times per person. (Warning: Use this with caution if you have automated emails, as it could send multiple emails to the same person).
Part 3: Prize Codes
If your prize involves a code (e.g., for a discount or voucher), you can configure how codes are assigned.
- Same Code for All Winners: Use this if the prize code is generic (e.g., "SUMMER25"). Simply type the code into the field.
-
Unique Code for Each Winner: This ensures every winner gets a different code. You have two options:
- System-Generated Codes: Let our system automatically generate a unique alphanumeric code for each winner.
- Your Custom Codes: Upload your own list of unique codes (e.g., from your e-commerce platform) as a single-column TXT or CSV file.
Using Codes in Emails: You can automatically insert the winning code into an email by using the
#prize_code#
shortcode. Learn more about personalizing emails with shortcodes.
