Springbig is a CRM and loyalty marketing platform built for the cannabis industry, helping dispensaries engage, retain, and grow their customer base through targeted campaigns, loyalty programs, and personalized marketing across SMS, email, and digital channels.
The Springbig integration allows you to use Optimove for customer segmentation and campaign configuration, while Springbig serves as the messaging provider. Templates are created in Springbig and synced into Optimove for use in campaigns.
Prerequisites
- An active Optimove account.
- An active Springbig account.
Step 1: Connect Optimove from within Springbig
Start by authenticating the Optimove integration inside Springbig.
In Springbig, navigate to Settings Account Basic Settings Connect with Optimove.
Step 2: Enter Your Optimove Credentials
After selecting Connect with Optimove, enter the following credentials:
- Tenant ID: Contact your Optimove CSM to obtain this.
- Tenant Token: Contact your Optimove CSM to obtain this.
- API Key: Create an API key with permissions for the channel by following the steps outlined in Using the Optimove API.
Step 3: Request a Third-Party Channel in Optimove
Before using Springbig as a channel in Optimove, you must request that a third-party channel be added.
- Choose Optimove Channel Request from the options on the Submit A Request page in the Optimove Academy.
- Select Springbig - Direct 450 from the vendor dropdown list.
- Fill out the rest of the details and submit the form. An Optimove Engineer will enable the channel and respond to you once it has been completed.
Step 4: Create a Campaign Template in Springbig
Next, create the message template that will be used in Optimove campaigns.
In Springbig, go to Automations New Automation and select API Triggered at the bottom of the page.
Step 5: Configure and Sync the Template to Optimove
Select Gated Link and configure your campaign template. Make sure to complete the following required fields:
- Name
- SMS
- Redirect URL
- MMS (highly recommended)
After configuration is complete:
- Enable the automation.
- Click Sync Template to send the template to Optimove.
Once synced, the template will become available for selection inside the Optimove platform. You can also unsync the template at any time by clicking Disconnect.
Step 6: Create a Scheduled Campaign in Optimove
Now switch to the Optimove platform and create a new scheduled campaign. For a detailed guide on creating scheduled campaigns, see How to Create a Campaign.
- Select a Target Group.
- Schedule a date and time for your campaign to execute.
- Choose Springbig as the Channel and select a template from the Template(s) dropdown. This list will contain the templates that were synced from your Springbig account.
- Click Create Campaign. The campaign will execute at the scheduled time. Optimove will provide the customer list and campaign configuration to Springbig, and Springbig will deliver the messages to the customers.
Important Notes
- Springbig receives the Target Group list from Optimove.
- Springbig will enroll customers based on their "allowed SMS" value in Optimove.
- Springbig will respect the configured timezone send time for each customer.
- Multiple templates and conditions can be used within the same campaign.
