Delivyr is a compliance-first SMS and MMS delivery platform built for regulated industries, with a core focus on gaming and iGaming. Designed for U.S. messaging, Delivyr focuses exclusively on SMS/MMS delivery, ensuring high deliverability, carrier compliance, and scalable, reliable messaging.
The Delivyr integration allows you to use Optimove for audience selection, campaign configuration, and lifecycle flows, while Delivyr powers the full SMS and MMS delivery layer for U.S. recipients. Templates are created and approved in Delivyr, then synced into Optimove for use in campaigns.
Key capabilities include:
- Support for Scheduled and Realtime Triggered campaigns
- Message templates created, approved, and synced from Delivyr into Optimove
- Real-time delivery, engagement, and performance metrics reported back to Optimove
- High deliverability across U.S. carriers through compliant infrastructure
Prerequisites
- An active Optimove account.
- An active Delivyr account.
Step 1: Request Delivyr Channels in Optimove
Before using Delivyr as a channel in Optimove, you must request that the Delivyr channels be added to your Optimove instance.
- Choose Optimove Channel Request from the options on the Submit A Request page in the Optimove Academy.
- In the Third Party Vendor List field, select the channels you require:
- Delivyr - Triggered SMS 250 (for Realtime Triggered campaigns)
- Delivyr - Scheduled SMS 452 (for Scheduled campaigns)
- In the Purpose of Integration field, select: Campaign Execution Integration
- Fill out the rest of the details and submit the form. An Optimove Engineer will enable the channel and respond to you once it is complete.
Step 2: Obtain Your Optimove Credentials
This integration requires four credentials from Optimove. Follow the steps below to obtain each one.
API Endpoint
Your API Endpoint can be found by navigating to Settings → Access Management → API Keys in Optimove. It is displayed at the top of the page, above your list of keys, and follows the format: https://api[number].optimove.net/
API Key
To generate an API Key for Delivyr:
- Navigate to Settings → Access Management → API Keys and click Create API Key.
- Set the Access Type to Integrations.
- Under Channels, select Delivyr SMS Scheduled, and also Delivyr SMS Triggered if you are using Real-Time Triggers (formerly Track and Trigger) campaigns.
- Under Permitted Attributes, select only the customer attributes you intend to use in your messages.
For more information on creating API keys, refer to Using the Optimove API.
Tenant Token

Contact your Optimove CSM to obtain your Tenant ID.
Step 3: Connect Delivyr to Optimove
Once you have your Optimove credentials, connect the integration from within your Delivyr dashboard.
- In Delivyr, navigate to Settings → Integrations.
- Locate the Optimove integration and click Install.
- On the configuration page that appears, enter the following credentials:
- API Endpoint
- API Key
- Tenant ID
- Tenant Token
- In the Default Template URL field, enter the default landing page URL that message recipients will be redirected to after clicking a link. Each individual template can also have its own unique URL, which will override this default.
- Click Save to complete the connection.
Step 4: Configure Customer Attributes
After entering your API Endpoint and API Key and saving, the Find Attributes button will become available in Delivyr.
- Click Find Attributes. A modal will appear prompting you to enter a sample Customer ID from your Optimove database. This is used only to retrieve the list of available attributes — any Customer ID can be used. Click Find to load the available attributes.
- Select the attributes you want Delivyr to have access to and click Done. The resulting list will appear in the Customer Attributes field as semicolon-separated values (e.g.
PHONENUMBER;FIRST_NAME).
PHONENUMBER) must be the first attribute in the list. Attribute names are lowercased when passed to templates.Step 5: Create a Campaign in Optimove
With the integration set up, you can now create campaigns in Optimove using Delivyr as the execution channel. For a detailed guide on creating campaigns, see How to Create a Campaign.
- Select a Target Group and configure your campaign settings.
- Under Execution Details, open the Channel dropdown and select the appropriate Delivyr channel:
- Delivyr SMS Scheduled — for Scheduled campaigns
- Delivyr SMS Triggered — for Realtime Triggered campaigns
- Select one of your approved Delivyr templates from the Template(s) dropdown. This list will contain the templates that were synced from your Delivyr account.
- Click Create Campaign. Optimove will provide the customer list and campaign configuration to Delivyr, and Delivyr will handle SMS/MMS delivery to your U.S. customers.
Step 6: Metrics Reporting
After a campaign executes, Delivyr reports performance metrics back to Optimove. These can be viewed in the Optimove Campaign Dashboard.
The table below maps Delivyr terminology to the corresponding Optimove metric labels:
| Optimove Terminology | Delivyr Terminology | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Delivered | Delivered | Message has been confirmed as received by the recipient's device. |
| Opened | Not Reported | Open data is not available for SMS/MMS messages. |
| Click | Clicked | Customer clicked a link in the message. An event is reported for each click. |
| Sent | Not Reported | "Sent" is not a supported value in Optimove's external vendor campaign engagement metrics. As a workaround: Sent = Targeted Customers − Dropped. |
| Bounced | Undelivered | Message was not delivered. Common reasons include landline/VOIP numbers, prepaid phones with no balance, or offline/disconnected lines. |
| Dropped | Rejected Message | Message was rejected by Delivyr before sending. Reasons include: customer is opted out, phone number is in an incorrect format, or the phone is known to be unable to receive SMS/MMS. |
| Unsubscribed | Opt Out | Customer replied STOP and will no longer receive messages. |
| Spam Reported | Not Reported | Spam report data is not available. |
