Please note:
To unlock this capability, you will need to have added Deferred Deep Linking to your Optimove package. If you can’t see this feature in your Optimove instance, contact your CSM to find out more.
Configuration
To use Deferred Deep Links, you need to configure three things:
- The subdomain do you want to use for your Deferred Deep Links? E.g. optimove.lnk.click
- The URLs for your app listing in the App Store and Play Store (if a customer does not have your app installed)
- iOS and Android platform-specific settings (so that the relevant operating system will open your app)
Subdomain
Enter the subdomain (of the lnk.click domain) that you want to use for your Deferred Deep Links. This must match the domain you set in the Associated Domains capability in your Xcode project.
Platform Settings
iOS
To use Deferred Deep Links with your iOS app, toggle the switch next to App Store Config to on. Enter the URL to your app in the App Store, the Bundle ID for your app, and your Apple Developer Account Team ID (which can be found in the Apple Membership Section).
Android
To use Deferred Deep Links with your Android app, toggle the switch next to Play Store Config to on. Enter the URL to your app in the Play Store, the Package for your app, and the colon-separated, SHA256 signing certificate fingerprint(s).
Please note:
If you are publishing to Google Play and app signing by Google Play is enabled, you need to add two SHA256 fingerprints: one obtained from signing APK locally and one obtained from the Google Play console. Fingerprints are necessary for deep linking into your app without showing a disambiguation dialog.
Huawei
To use Deferred Deep Links with your Android app distributed via the Huawei App Gallery for HCM devices sign into your AG Connect account and select My Projects, then select the Project containing the app you want to link to.
SDK Integration
You will need to ensure that you have the OptiMobile SDK integrated with your app to enable Deferred Deep Linking. You will also need to check that this is part of your Optimove package. If you are unsure, please contact your Customer Success Manager.
