The "News Ticker" component displays a dynamic ticker-type animation. This component displays the latest posts from an RSS feed, right in the email, updating hourly.
  • The News Ticker pulls content from an RSS feed and turns it into an email news feed. 
  • You must have a live RSS feed to utilize this component. Here's an example of an RSS feed: https://abcnews.go.com/abcnews/topstories 
  • The widget will pull the text and associated URL if available.
  • The widget can be displayed either vertically or horizontally. 
 
Settings Configuration
 
To set up the News Ticker component:
  • Go to "Create Component".
  • Choose "News Ticker".
  • Give your newly created component a unique name.
  • Fill out the rest of the details, including:
    • Component dimensions
    • Font color, font type, and font size
      Custom fonts can be used after being uploaded to the File Manager from your computer or via a URL.
    • Background color
      Click anywhere on the text color box to change the color, by selecting it from the palette or by inputting the appropriate Hex code, RGB values, or HSL values.
    • Time per frame (in seconds)
    • Animation direction
    • Number of items to display
    • RSS source
    • Click-through URL (optional)
  • Click on the "Update Preview" button to update the content in the preview section.
  • Click “Generate Code” to generate the embed code.
  • Input your email address under “Email Test” to send yourself an email with the component.

The News Ticker component provides a great eye-catching animation with news or important updates to share with subscribers. You can use it to update users dynamically on news, company updates, or any other information that can be pulled from an RSS feed.

Recommendations

When setting the height of the News Ticker, note that only one item will be displayed at a time, consider limiting the ticker's height to avoid spacing issues.
