Lead Time is the number of days between the day that the customer data is used to generate a campaign and the date on which the campaign is sent to customers.
Typically, Lead Time is greater than zero only when it takes more than a day to execute a campaign once the customer target list is known.
Another use for Lead Time is when you are planning a campaign for after midnight and before a new batch data update. As the current day’s customer data is not yet available in this case, Optimove will not automatically run this campaign at the scheduled time.
To send the campaign at this desired time, you need to utilize Lead Time to instruct Optimove to use the previous day’s data.
