If you need to pause, stop, or completely delete a campaign, Mission Control offers various deletion options based on the campaign's status and the current stage of your batch data processing.
In this article, we will explore all scenarios for stopping, deleting, and pausing both real-time and scheduled campaigns.
Scheduled Campaigns
- Optimove Native Channels (Optimail, Optimobile, OptiText): You can delete campaigns up to 30 minutes before the scheduled execution time.
- Third-Party Channels: Campaign deletion is your responsibility, as Optimove is not the one sending the campaigns to your end customers.
- Multichannel Campaigns: This includes both Optimove's native channel and third-party channel, Ensure campaigns are deleted both from Optimove and the third-party platform at least 30 minutes before execution.

Condition Execution Campaigns
Deletion is possible until Optimove receives the response from your bonus system. After that, the following rules apply:
- For native channels, campaigns can be deleted from the instance up to 30 minutes before execution time.
- For campaigns using third-party channels, deletion must be performed through the third-party engager.
Failed and No Customer Status
- Failed/Partially Failed: Deletion is not recommended, as it can affect historical data.
- No Customers: Deletion is possible but not advised for the same reason.
Triggered Campaigns
The process is the same whether the campaign is scheduled for today or the future.
When using the delete option, you can remove a real-time campaign, but this will delete completely all the campaign's past and future associated data, including historical records.
- To stop future campaigns: Use the edit option and set the recurrence end date to today.
- To stop today’s campaigns: Set the trigger to inactive via the Target Group Management page
By following these steps, you can efficiently manage campaign pauses, deletions, and adjustments while preserving important data.
