One Channel, Both Platforms: Overlay Messaging
Overlay Messaging is live. You can now build a single pop-up template and deploy it automatically across web and app, instead of maintaining two separate builds in two separate places. It is the first channel built natively inside Content Studio.
- One channel replaces two: Overlay Messaging takes the place of Web Page Pop-Ups and In-App Messaging
- Cross-platform deduplication: built in, so no customer receives the same message twice
- Personalization at scale: supported by Liquid and Data Connections, keeping pop-ups symmetric with your other channels
- No new license: Overlay Messaging is included in existing Web and Mobile licenses, with no new SKU and no new pricing
On-Brand Every Click: Branded Short Links for SMS
You can now replace Optimove's default ot.gt short-link domain with your own branded subdomain for SMS sends. Links look like your brand rather than a generic shortener, and every click tracking and engagement reporting rule stays inside Optimove.
- Use your own subdomain: swap ot.gt for something like links.yourbrand.com on SMS short and tracked links
- The data stays yours: click tracking and engagement reporting remain fully inside Optimove, with no external link-shortening vendor involved
- One domain, many brands: a single branded subdomain can be applied across multiple brands and apps in an instance
- Automatic fallback: Optimove only uses the branded domain once its Domain Name System (DNS) record is verified and Active, and falls back to ot.gt otherwise, so sends are never interrupted
One Place to Personalize: The Upgraded Personalization Picker
The Personalization Picker has been rebuilt around search. Instead of scrolling a long flat list looking for the tag you need, you can find and add personalization tags, content blocks, and data lookups from a single searchable picker.
- Search every tag type in one place: customer, event, general, and more
- Content blocks included: drop a content block straight into a template from the picker
- See what you are inserting: every row shows the exact Liquid it will add
- Where it works: Liquid email templates and templates built in Content Studio, including content blocks and overlay messages
Your Warehouse, Your Data: Zero Copy Target Groups with Databricks
Zero Copy now works with Databricks, not only Snowflake. If your data sits in Databricks, you can build a Target Group by running one SQL query against your own warehouse. Only the matching Customer IDs come back to Optimove; everything else stays with you.
- Databricks support: in addition to the existing Snowflake connection
- One query: build a Target Group by running a single SQL query against your own warehouse
- Same flow as Snowflake: same setup, same flow, and the same limits
The Whole Story: Attribute Details and Calculation in Data Studio
Every attribute in Data Studio now has a full details page. You can see what the attribute is, where its data comes from, how it is calculated, where it is used, and what its values look like, all without asking anyone.
- Details: the attribute's general information and settings in one view
- Calculation: attributes that arrive through Data Ingestion show the process, database, and table they come from. Attributes calculated in Optimove show the source tables and columns from your own raw data, the attributes involved, and the Structured Query Language (SQL) query itself
- Follow the chain: when an attribute is built on another attribute that comes from your data, you can click through and see how that one is built too
- Usage: where the attribute is used today, in Target Groups, templates, reports, and other attributes, with the active campaigns behind them
- Values: summary statistics of the attribute's values, so you can see the shape of the data at a glance
MCP Updates
Find It by Sight: MCP Image Explorer
You can now search your entire template image library through MCP by what is actually in the picture, not just by filename or tag.
- Search by what is depicted: on-image text, brand, colors, objects, theme, and offer or call to action
- Browsable gallery: an interactive gallery with real thumbnails in supported clients
- Straight into the template: pull the right asset into a template you are building or editing through MCP
Answers in Chat: Business Performance and Cohorts Reports in MCP
Business performance and cohort insights can now be pulled straight through MCP, in plain language, without opening a dashboard or exporting anything.
- Business Performance Overview Report: Key Performance Indicator (KPI) trends on demand, with no dashboard hop
- Cohorts Analysis Report: track how a segment behaves over time, right in the chat
- Plain language answers: no exports and no manual pulls
Build It, Then Edit It: Visual Editor Templates in MCP
Templates created through MCP can now open directly in the drag-and-drop visual editor, so the template lands where you will actually finish it.
- Block by block: MCP-generated templates can land in the visual editor as editable blocks
- Raw HTML still supported: the visual editor is an additional option, not a replacement
- Available for: all customers with the Optimove MCP
Keep the Audience Whole: Control Group Continues to the Next Campaign
If you run a series of independent campaigns in a Stream, your audience no longer has to shrink at every step. Control group customers can now continue on to the next campaign, not just test customers.
- New checkbox: appears in campaign elements in Stream Builder for any campaign with a control group, right below the test and control split
- Off by default: nothing changes for existing Streams, where only test customers continue
- Automatic pickup: when turned on, control customers are picked up in the next campaign's targeting through the Campaign History condition
- Built for independent journeys: so the audience does not erode campaign after campaign
Cleaner and Faster: The Redesigned Target Groups Page
The Target Groups page has a refreshed layout that gives you faster visibility and quicker access to key actions. All existing functionality stays the same, so Target Group creation and execution work exactly as before.
- Table view: every Target Group in a folder appears in one table, showing name, group size with last calculation date, priority, and last-modified details, instead of opening each one individually
- Group size on demand: calculation dates show right in the table, and you can manually refresh any size older than 24 hours before planning a campaign
- Triggered campaigns: now open directly from the row actions menu
Safer Edits: Stream Campaign Editing Moves to Stream Builder
Editing a Stream campaign from Mission Control now takes you into the campaign settings inside Stream Builder, rather than into Campaign Builder. The change stops fields that can break a stream, recurrence and end time in particular, from being edited in the wrong place.
- What changed: for Stream campaigns specifically, Edit in the Mission Control actions menu now opens Stream Builder
- Nothing lost in the move: Exclude by channel and Set KPI at campaign level are live inside Stream Builder
- Notes and tags: can now also be set at campaign level inside Stream Builder
Know What Is Inside: Content Type Filter in Mission Control
Mission Control now has a Content type filter, so you can narrow your campaign list down to templates built with a specific content capability.
- Filter by capability: check any of Content Blocks, Content Decisioning, Data Connections, or Liquid to narrow the list to exactly what is inside the template
Four More Snapshots: Mission Control Mini Dashboard
Embedded Messaging, Overlay Messaging, Web Push, and WhatsApp now have a Mini Dashboard view in Mission Control:
- Four new channels: Embedded Messaging, Overlay Messaging, Web Push, and WhatsApp
- Same breakdown: Sent, Delivered, Opened, and Clicked per channel, inside Mission Control
- No extra setup: it works automatically wherever the channel is enabled
Easier to Tag: Refreshed Notes and Tags
Notes and Tags got a refresh across Campaign Builder, Stream Builder, and Target Groups, with a cleaner look and more room to work.
- Refreshed look: across Campaign Builder, Stream Builder, and Target Groups
- Easier to scan: selected tags are now easier to view at a glance
- More tags: the limit per campaign increased to 20
- Campaign level in Streams: notes and tags can now be added inside Stream Builder at the campaign level, in addition to the Stream level
