Templates without the Editor: Template Creation and Editing in Optimove MCP
Optimove MCP can now build and change templates for you. Create a template from scratch, duplicate one you already trust, or make targeted copy and link edits, all from the AI assistant you already work in, with no context switching and no copy and paste.
- Create across seven channels: Email, SMS, Mobile Push Notification, Web Push Notification, In-App Messaging, Embedded Messaging, and Web Pop-Up
- Duplicate and adapt: copy an existing email template and edit the copy, with brand, sender, folder, and personalization strategy carried over
- Targeted find and replace: change only what you asked for, so untouched content stays exactly as it was
- Both personalization types: Liquid and Legacy personalization are supported and auto-detected from your content, and you can switch by prompting
- Faithful HTML: raw HTML lands byte for byte, so what you push is what gets sent
Note: Editing is in beta for clients on the Optimove MCP beta. Templates already attached to a live or scheduled campaign are locked from editing. Visual editor templates support copy and link changes, while layout and styling stay in the interface for now, and pushed templates land in the raw HTML editor. Duplicate and edit are Email only in this first version.
Optimove Where You Work: Microsoft Copilot Support for Optimove MCP
Optimove MCP now runs inside Microsoft Copilot. If Copilot is where your team already works, you can mention Optimove in the chat you have open and get the same capabilities, permissions, and data protections you have in the interface. No partner approval is required.
- Work in the chat you already use: mention Optimove directly in Microsoft Copilot
- Your own identity: each marketer signs in as themselves, so permissions and personally identifiable information masking apply exactly as they do in the interface
- Available to all clients: open to every client with Optimove MCP enabled
Your Data Stays Home: Target Groups with Zero Copy
Closed Beta: Zero Copy Target Groups are available to selected beta clients and are enabled per account on request.
Some of the fields you would like to segment on are fields you would rather not send us, such as risk level, credit score, or Know Your Customer (KYC) status. Segmenting on them used to mean repeated CSV exports. With Zero Copy you write one SQL query against your own Snowflake warehouse, only the matching Customer IDs are sent to Optimove, and the Target Group refreshes on a schedule.
- Query your own warehouse: connect Snowflake once, then build External Lists with SQL against any data, not only what is already in Optimove
- Customer IDs only: nothing but the matching Customer IDs reaches Optimove, so the sensitive field never leaves your warehouse
- Lists become Target Groups: a saved list creates a Target Group automatically, and you can add criteria on top or reuse one list across several Target Groups
Tidy by Default: Folders, Campaign Duplication, and More MCP Actions
Assets created through Optimove MCP now land where you actually keep them, and a few actions that were previously restricted are switched on for everyone with Optimove MCP enabled.
- Folders on creation: name the folder when you create or edit a Target Group, trigger, action, or template, including nested paths, and the folder is created if it does not exist
- Helpful corrections: name a folder that does not match and you get the real folder list back with a suggestion, instead of a silent miss
- Duplicate a campaign draft: copy an existing scheduled or triggered campaign draft rather than rebuilding it, which is a much faster start for recurring or near-identical campaigns
- Now on for all clients: creating custom events, editing triggers that are not used in campaigns, editing Target Groups with no campaign attached, and creating or updating real-time attributes
Full Control, Start to Finish: Conditional Execution Cancel and Re-run Controls
Users running scheduled conditional execution campaigns on Campaign Execution 2.0 (CE 2.0) now have even more control when plans change or approvals need more time.
- Cancel mid-flight: cancel a conditional execution campaign while it is processing, including during the "heads up" approval window while customers are being approved or denied
- Re-run in one click: if a campaign reaches "No Customers" status, re-run it to re-send the "Campaign is Ready" (Event Type 5) notification for the same Target Group, giving your team the full heads-up window to approve customers again
- Who gets it: all tenants using Scheduled Conditional Execution on Campaign Execution 2.0
Know Your Segments, Not Just Their Size: Customer Explorer in the MCP
The Optimove Model Context Protocol (MCP) can now explore a Target Group, not just size it. Describe the Target Group conditions in plain language, ask a question, and get the answer back, with no reports, exports, or navigation.
- Understand a segment: ask for the average deposit amount, age breakdown, top countries, or any attribute distribution of a Target Group
- See how it changes: move between snapshots and track whether the VIP base is growing or shrinking, or how any metric trends over time
- Spot-check membership: get a real peek at the customers inside a segment before building a campaign
- Longer sessions on request: the default MCP session lasts one day; teams running automations (scheduled reports, recurring Target Group checks, agent workflows) can request an extended session per tenant so automations keep running without daily re-authentication
- Availability: available to all clients with the MCP enabled, with no extra setup; extended sessions are configured per tenant on request
Note: personally identifiable information (PII) is protected. Customer identity is never exposed; only behavioral data.
Sharper Data, Cleaner Joins: Data Share v1.5
Data Share v1.5 is live with no breaking changes. Same views, same columns, with useful additions for reporting and analysis.
- Campaign Type in Engagement Activity: tells scheduled from real-time (triggered) engagements
- Reliable template at campaign level: TEMPLATE_ID and TEMPLATE_NAME in VW_SCHEDULED_CAMPAIGNS
- New join key: ACTION_SERIAL links targeting to engagement data
- Daily refresh: Engagement Activity refresh is moving to once a day across all versions; the Dynamic Table is retiring starting August 3, 2026, with no change to views or columns
- Version bump: all other views move from the V1_3 to the V1_5 suffix
Games Built by AI: AI Minigame Creation via the MCP
The Optimove MCP now exposes minigame creation as an AI action. Connect any MCP-compatible AI to the Optimove MCP, describe the game you want, and get back a live playable URL, with no templates, UI, or code.
- Describe and deploy: describe the game (for example, "a football-themed scratch card with our brand colors") and the AI generates and deploys the full game, returning a live preview URL
- Iterate by prompt: play it, tweak it with follow-up prompts, and publish when ready
- AI Games library: published games land in the new AI Games library inside Optimove Minigames, ready to attach to any campaign
- Who can use it: clients who already have both the Optimove MCP and Minigames (Adact) enabled; the create_mini_game and save_mini_game actions are already part of the MCP toolset
Gate the Game: Target Group Selection for Minigames
You can now lock a minigame to specific Optimove Target Groups directly from the game's publishing settings.
- New field: an Optimove Target Group field in Publishing Settings (multiselect and searchable)
- Audience check: Optimove Minigames checks the player's CID against the selected segments before the game loads
- Right audience, right game: players in a selected segment see the game normally; everyone else sees a customizable message you control
- Default unchanged: with no segments selected, the game stays open to everyone
Acquisition Meets Retention: TAP, The Affiliate Platform
TAP, The Affiliate Platform, is Optimove's affiliate management platform for iGaming operators. It is now available through Optimove, so affiliate acquisition and customer retention no longer sit in separate systems with separate reporting.
- Performance tracking: follow affiliate performance in one place rather than reconciling reports from a separate platform
- Custom deals: configure the commission and deal structures you actually run, per affiliate
- Connected to your Customer Relationship Management (CRM) data: tie affiliate acquisition directly to what happens after the player signs up, so you can judge affiliates on retained value rather than registrations alone
