Our integration capabilities, supported by We Are Technology, include:

  • Batch Data Processing: Secure data transfer and ETL automation.
  • Real-time Event Streaming: Available via web SDK and server-side integration.
  • Promotional Integration: Seamlessly incorporate promotional activities for Scheduled and Triggered Campaigns.
  • Transactional Optimail (API): Trigger transactional emails via API calls.

Batch Data Integration

Transfer historical and transactional data securely to power data-driven campaigns and segmentation.

Data Delivery Method: DB to DB connection (SQL Server DB) with a VPN-secured tunnel.

Integration Steps:

  1. DB Connection:
    • WAT provides DB connection details and a completed VPN tunnel form (contact your project manager for the form).
    • Optimove builds the VPN tunnel and establishes the connection using the following details:
      • Username
      • Password
      • DB name
      • Host
      • Port
  2. Data Delivery & QA:
    • WAT shares historical data (or sample data if the brand isn’t live).
    • Optimove pulls the data and conducts quality assurance.
  3. ETL Setup:
    • WAT automates the batch data process.
    • Once finalized, data is ingested into Optimove for campaigns and segmentation.

Real-Time Event Streaming

Enable real-time customer interactions with WAT’s event streaming integration, available via web SDK or server-side endpoints.

Integration Steps:

  1. Kick Off Call:
    • Contact your Project Manager or Customer Success Manager (CSM) to schedule an integrations kickoff call, led by Optimove’s Customer Solution Engineer (CSE) team.
    • The call will define integration requirements and capabilities.
  2. Prerequisite Form:
    • Complete the Real-time Integration Form to document configurations.
    • Optimove provides credentials (Tenant ID, Tenant Token, server-side endpoint) post-submission.
  3. Production Implementation:
    • Grant WAT’s team Admin access to configure production settings.

Promotional Integration

Synchronize promotions seamlessly with WAT’s promotion system for scalable campaign management using the Conditional Execution Bonus Flow.

Create an API key with ADMIN permission and share it with WAT to enable this integration. The promos should be created on WAT's platform and will be synchronized with Optimove's. 

Integration Steps:

  1. Register Event Listener:
    • WAT registers an event listener for campaign events (event type ID 5).
    • Optimove retries delivery up to three times if the system is unavailable.
  2. Retrieve Processed Campaign Customers:
    • Use the Processed Campaign Customers API to fetch eligible customers (up to 200,000 per call).
  3. Bonus Distribution:
    • Distribute bonuses via WAT’s platform based on campaign rules.
  4. Status Update:
    • Confirm completion using the Update Customer Promotion Status API (individual or batch updates).

Transactional Optimail

Send transactional emails triggered by user actions (e.g., registration, password reset) via Optimove’s Transactional API.

Integration Steps:

  1. Transactional Account Setup:
    • Submit the transactional account request form in the Customer Portal.
    • Optimove provides DNS records for sender authentication.
  2. DNS Record Implementation:
    • Add DNS records to your domain and confirm with your CSM or Project Manager.
  3. API Key & Integration:
    • Create an API key and share it with WAT for API integration.
    • The client triggers emails via direct API calls from their backend.
  4. Template Creation:
    • Build templates using the Visual or HTML Editor in the “Transactional” account type.
    • Use TRANS: prefix for personalization tags.
