The Prediction & Trivia Quiz is a highly flexible game type perfect for engaging your audience around a specific event (like a sports match) or testing their knowledge. This guide explains how to set up the different question types, customize the visuals, and set the correct answers to calculate scores.
This guide uses a football match as an example for the different question types.
Part 1: Adding and Configuring Questions
The first step is to build your quiz by adding one or more questions. From the 'Game > Questions' screen editor, click "New question" to see the list of available types.
Question Type: Predict Exact Score
Asks participants to predict the final score of an event. You can configure one or more input fields (e.g., one for each team).
Question Type: Choose Winners (Brackets)
Presents participants with pairs of options (e.g., competing teams), allowing them to pick one winner from each pair.
Question Type: Predict a Number
Asks participants to guess a specific number (e.g., "How many total goals will be scored?"). You can enable an "Allow error margin (+/-)" to award points even if the guess isn't exact.
Question Type: Multiple Choice
Presents a list of options where participants can select an answer. You can configure it to allow a single answer or multiple answers, and use images as choices instead of text.
Question Type: Predict the Order (Ranking)
Asks participants to arrange a list of items into the correct order by dragging and dropping them.
Part 2: Customizing Quiz Visuals
After adding your questions, you can customize the overall look and feel of the quiz from the 'Visuals' tab.
- Background: Customize the quiz window's appearance during the game by adjusting the background, opacity, and border as needed.
- Question & Choices: Customize the font styles, colors, and backgrounds for the question text and the answer choices.
- Buttons: Style the "Previous," "Next," and "Submit" buttons, including their labels, colors, and size.
- Animations: Define how the answer choices appear on screen (e.g., fade in).
Part 3: Setting Correct Answers & Scoring
For prediction games, you will set the correct answers after the real-world event has concluded. This action calculates the scores for all participants who have already played.
- Navigate to the "Answers" tab in the game editor.
- Input the correct answer for each of your questions.
- Click "Submit Correct Answers".
The system will then process all existing entries and assign scores. A notification will pop up confirming how many participants were scored.
Part 4: Awarding Prizes
Based on the final scores, you can award prizes to your top performers or raffle them among eligible participants. For a complete guide on how to configure and draw prizes, please see our guides on Instant Win and Raffle prizes.
