Optimove’s integration with Scoreconnect enables marketers to reach customers directly via Telegram, expanding your multi-channel marketing mix with a direct, conversational touchpoint.

Note:This is not a direct integration with Telegram itself. Optimove integrates with Scoreconnect, which acts as the execution platform to deliver Optimove campaigns to customers through Telegram. By creating campaigns in Optimove and executing them via Scoreconnect, you can send personalized, timely messages to drive engagement.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, please ensure you have the following:

  • An active Optimove account.
  • Templates created and managed in the Scoreconnect Backoffice (these automatically sync into Optimove).
  • An Optimove API Key (generated in your Optimove instance).
  • A Telegram Bot Token (created via BotFather).

Required Attributes for Targeting

To successfully deliver messages, user identification requires the following attribute:

  • Telegram_Id: Customers must have a valid Telegram_Id attribute in Optimove. Without this value, Telegram messages cannot be delivered.

Setting Up the Integration

  1. Request Channel Enablement

    Submit the relevant form to enable the Scoreconnect channel in your Optimove instance.

  2. Provide Details to Scoreconnect

    Once the channel is enabled, you must share the following credentials directly with Scoreconnect:

Executing Scoreconnect Campaigns Using Optimove

Scoreconnect supports both Scheduled and Real-Time Triggered campaigns. All templates are created in the Scoreconnect Backoffice and synced to Optimove.

  1. Scheduled Campaigns

    Navigate to Execute > Campaign Builder in Optimove. Configure your Target Group and set the Campaign Type to Scheduled.

    Select Scoreconnect as the channel and choose the appropriate Scoreconnect template.

    At the scheduled time, Optimove sends the Campaign ID and Target Users (including Telegram_Id) to Scoreconnect for delivery.

  2. Real-Time Triggered Campaigns

    First, ensure a Real-Time Template is created in the Scoreconnect Backoffice and assigned an EventTypeID.

    In Optimove, navigate to Execute > Campaign Builder > Triggered Campaign.

    Select your trigger event, set the channel to Scoreconnect, and select the synced real-time template. When the event occurs, Optimove immediately forwards the payload to Scoreconnect for instant delivery.

Metrics and Notes

  • Available Metrics: The integration returns the following execution metrics to Optimove: 0 (Sent), 1 (Delivered), and 5 (Dropped).
  • Unsupported Metrics: Telegram does not support "Opened" or "Spam" metrics via the Bot API.
  • Template Management: All message bodies and personalization placeholders must be managed directly in the Scoreconnect Backoffice.
