Optimove’s integration with Adobe’s Data Management Platform (DMP) allows you to upload target groups from Optimove to Adobe DMP and leverage them as audiences for ad targeting.
Setting Up the Integration
To use the Optimove-Adobe DMP integration, you must provide Optimove with the following details from your Adobe DMP setup:
- DMP Instance ID
- Datasource ID
If you do not have these details, please ask your Adobe point of contact to provide them.
Once the Optimove team receives your details, it will set up the integration and provide you with the details needed for the Adobe team to do the same.
Setting Up a Campaign
Once your integration has been set up you will be able to leverage target groups from within Optimove to target audiences in Adobe DMP. To do so, follow the below steps:
- In Adobe DMP, create a campaign for the specific target group you want to sync.
In Optimove
- Create an Action that exactly matches your Adobe DMP campaign ID.
- Create a Target Group for the specific advertising campaign.
- Go to the Campaign Builder in Optimove and set up your Target Group and Scheduling as for any other execution channel.
- In the Execution Details select the unique Action name you created based on the specific Adobe DMP campaign ID and select Adobe DMP as your Channel.
- Click “Create Campaign.”
Please note:
- There is no option to select a template.
- There is no relevance to the “Time” field. Your target group will be uploaded to Adobe DMP as part of your batch data process. You will schedule the campaign execution time in Adobe DMP.
- Control Groups are supported. Optimove will withhold the percentage of customers when sharing the target group with Adobe DMP, ensuring you can measure uplift for this campaign.
- A/B/n multichannel campaigns are supported. Optimove will only share the relevant percentage of the target group with Adobe DMP. However, if you would like to perform an A/B/n test of two or more messages sent via Adobe DMP this should be set up in Adobe DMP. In this case, Optimove will send the complete target group to Adobe DMP, and the split should be set up there.
Please note:
The target group will be automatically synced with the audience for the specific Adobe DMP Campaign ID provided.
