Whether you’re planning out future campaigns, waiting for feedback from your team, or simply don’t have all the building blocks of your campaign ready, you can now create a campaign draft and add your finishing touches at a later date.
This article will walk you through how to build a campaign draft.
How to Draft a Campaign
You can save drafts in the Campaign Builder.
To save a campaign as a draft, you need to fill in the following campaign details:
- Target Group
- Start Date (under the Scheduling tab)
Once you have selected your Target Group, Start Date, and any other details you have prepared, you can click on Save as Draft.
Please note:
- If you start drafting a recurring campaign, you must select an End Date in order to save as a draft
- You cannot draft a campaign with a Start Date that has already passed
- If you delete a Target Group, all draft campaigns with the respective Target Group will be deleted
- If you archive a Target Group, you will not be able to access the campaign draft until the Target Group has been restored
- You cannot create campaign drafts for CSV campaigns
How to View and Edit Campaign Drafts
You can see all your campaign drafts in Mission Control using the ‘Statuses’ filter and column.
To view all your drafts in one view:
- Select the Statuses filter
- Filter by ‘Draft’ status
- Save your view for future reference
- To edit and execute your draft, click on the campaign menu
Please note:
- If you want to resave a campaign draft and the Start Date has already passed, please update the Start Date to a future date
- For Triggered campaigns, if you have saved a draft without selecting a Trigger, you can view all your drafts using the ‘Communication Type’ filter and then filter by Triggered
