Prerequisites
Before you begin, please ensure you have the following:
- An active Optimove account.
- An active The Trade Desk account.
- Admin access or the necessary permissions within The Trade Desk to generate API tokens.
Setting Up the Integration

Submit the Trade Desk Integration Request
Start by completing an "Optimove Integration" request available from this form. This initiates the process of connecting your Trade Desk and Optimove accounts.

Provide Required Trade Desk Credentials
When submitting the form, include the following details for each brand:
- Advertiser ID(s) per brand
- API Token and its expiration date
- Region (US, EU, or APAC)
Generating an API Token in The Trade Desk
Follow these steps to generate a token within your The Trade Desk account:

Click on your Profile Icon and select Manage API Tokens.

Click Generate Token, assign a descriptive name (e.g., "Optimove_Integration_Token"), set the Lifetime to one year (or as per your company's security policy), and Save.

Copy and securely store the generated token. This token will be used by Optimove to authenticate with The Trade Desk API.
Executing Trade Desk Campaigns Using Optimove

Create a Campaign in Optimove
After completing the setup, go to Campaign Builder in Optimove, select The Trade Desk as the channel, and choose your target audience from the Custom List dropdown.

Audience Sync
Optimove automatically syncs campaign audience lists daily with The Trade Desk, using customer email addresses from the selected target group. These lists will then be available as targetable segments within The Trade Desk platform.
Disclaimers
- Segments with fewer than 1,500 users/UIDs in The Trade Desk are not targetable. However, Optimove can still upload lists with fewer than 1,500 users.
- No campaign performance metrics are available through this direct Optimove channel integration. Performance should be monitored within The Trade Desk platform.
- Campaigns created in Optimove, and the corresponding audience segments, may take up to 24 hours to appear and be fully available in The Trade Desk.
