New and Improved Template Management
Over the last 6-8 months, we’ve made some massive improvements to the UI across the board, from the navigation to the dashboards, and enhancements to Mission Control. Now, we are bringing our native marketing channels up to speed, with lots of updates building up to a much-improved experience.
- In OptiMail, we’ve revamped the Manage Templates area, with new template previews, improved search experience, and more detailed descriptions of the templates directly from the lobby. Learn more here.
- In Web Page Pop-Ups, we’ve introduced a new Visual Editor to give you more flexible options on how you design and build your pop-ups. The drag-and-drop editor allows you to add components, define global design settings and much more. Read more about building web page pop-ups here.
- In OptiMobile, for Mobile Push and Web Push we’ve redesigned the Template editor, to make template building easier, and much more efficient.
API Updates
Streamline and Secure API Workflows Using API Keys
Enhance data security and simplify workflows by using API Keys instead of username and password authentication for API calls. Note that starting February 1st, 2024, Optimove will only support API Keys for authentication. To ensure a smooth transition read our Academy Article on how to generate an API Key, and the Optimove API Usage Guide on how to implement your API Keys.
Get Direct Access To Your Single Customer View
As part of our efforts to democratize your data, you can now access your unified, enriched Optimove data for each individual customer using the 'GetCustomer' API endpoint.
By providing a specific Customer ID, you will retrieve all attributes and their values for any given customer, providing your BI teams access to enriched Optimove data for in-house analytics and reporting.
For more information, please read the Optimove API Usage Guide.
Mission Control
Contextual Optibot Insights
Uncover hidden campaign insights with the new Optibot filter and column. With this update, you can now streamline campaign analysis and optimization with Optibot's contextual AI recommendations integrated directly in Mission Control.
You can see how many campaigns have an Optibot card to explore via the Optibot notification above the Campaign List. By clicking on this notification, your Mission Control view will be filtered by campaigns with Optibot cards.
To view the relevant Optibot card, first add the Optibot column, under the 'Metrics' Section.
You can then click on the blue icon in the Optibot column to see the card.

Business Performance Overview
Customize Your View For More Granular Analysis
The Business Performance Overview Report provides you with a summary of how you are achieving your business goals and KPIs in one single view.
For more flexible analysis, you can now choose how to measure your business performance against a range of KPIs.
Additionally, analyze how customers in each lifecycle stage are impacting your business using the Lifecycle Stage filter. With these granular insights, you can then make informed decisions on where to focus your marketing resources for future campaigns.
Identify Top Performing Dates In Your Business Performance
- Top Performing Dates: get insight into the specific dates your business performed the best for your chosen KPI. For example, use this information to look back at your marketing plan around these dates and analyze how it benefitted your business.
- Weekdays Analysis: calculate the average total order amount (or any other KPI) for each day of the week within your chosen timeframe. For example, use this data to understand trends in customer spend during the week to effectively plan future campaigns and maximize their impact.

OptiText
Create and Track Links in SMS Campaigns
Adding URLs to SMS campaigns is the best way to track engagement, via click metrics, and get customers into your websites and apps. Links in SMS templates can be used for dedicated landing pages, privacy policies and so much more. By creating Short Links, you can save valuable character real-estate, meaning more opportunities to engage the customer. For example, instead of a link such as https://www.lovelyfashion.com/mens-shoes/winter?type=832, the brand new OptiText link shortener will generate a much short link like: https:/opti.net/k7Hjd
You can now create your SMS templates as usual, hit “Insert Tracked Hyperlink”, add your destination URL, and Optimove will automatically shorten the link and add this to the template. You can view how the link might appear in the SMS message in the preview on the right-hand side.
You can also evaluate the performance of SMS campaigns in more detail, with the Total Clicks metric being tracked as a new channel metric, adding to the current list of Sent, Delivered, Bounced, and Dropped.

Streams
Track Trends in Campaign Performance Overtime
As the newest addition to the Stream Analysis page, the Impact Graph shows the cumulative average revenue generated (or any other KPI) of each campaign within a treatment.
Using this graph, you can track the success of your campaigns within a Stream, helping to identify at which point your Stream is driving engagement with customers.
To learn more about how to understand Stream results, read here.
Customer 360
Track Your Marketing Communications and Engagement for Specific Customers
- Unique Promo Codes: see the specific unique code the customer received for each campaign in the Customer Marketing Impact table, helping customer service streamline their troubleshooting workflows.
- Target Groups: View which target group the customer was a part of when they made each purchase in the Purchase History table. Use this insight to identify which campaigns influenced a customer’s conversion.
To add the Target Groups column, click on 'Select Attributes' and add the attribute to the table.
OptiMobile
Improved Segmentation for App Acquisition Campaigns
Building on our reachability attributes for OptiMobile channels, we've now released the Mobile Customer reachability attribute!
This will mean that not only do you have the ability to add criteria for who is “reachable for mobile push”, but also the ability to simply see which customers already have the app downloaded. This will unlock the ability to not only send app-specific campaigns, but also send potential app acquisition campaigns, by sending OptiMail campaigns to customers who don’t have the app, encouraging them to download. You can learn more about OptiMobile reachability attributes here.
